A whole candy bar?
Candy is great, but have you noticed how the best candy is gone almost right away? Maybe your mom or your brother is taking it????
What would be the best treat if you were deaf or blind? Wouldn’t you be excited if you found a note in your bag telling you about a doctor who could cure you—for free???
Well, that’s what this paper is. It tells you something that is worth more than all the candy in the world. It tells you about Jesus. He loves you more than you can ever imagine, and He has a wonderful plan for your life.
Here is a verse from the Bible that tells the whole story:
For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16,17
When you give your heart to Jesus, amazing things happen. He forgives your sin. You don’t feel guilty anymore. You can face up to hard things like a bully at school or being cut from a team.
When you open your heart to Jesus, you want to do things that please Him. You want to look out for the new kid in your school—or to be helpful to your parents and your baby brother or sister.
If you invite Jesus into your heart you will discover that this little paper was the Best Treat you got this Halloween. You might even want to share it with your best friend—along with some of your candy, of course.
