Coming Soon

Full text of gospel tract:

What’s Coming Soon?
The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic warning about how close the world stands to “midnight,” or global catastrophe. Over the years, the clock has inched closer to midnight as turmoil around the world has increased at an alarming rate. To many, it seems that significant, foreboding events are at hand.
The Bible tells us that “in the last days perilous times shall come” (2 Timothy 3:1). Jesus prophesied that as the end times draw near, “nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places” (Matthew 24:7). The events we see in the news every day indicate that the greatest event of all time is soon to take place.

Not What, But Who

Jesus is coming soon! At any moment, we could witness the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to this world. He has been here before. He was born as a baby and lived a perfect, sinless life of love and goodness—a life never before lived or known among men. Men rewarded Him for it by crucifying Him and hanging Him between two criminals. Then, three days after His death, He triumphantly rose from the dead. After encouraging His followers, Jesus ascended to heaven.
As His disciples watched, an angel announced: “Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner” (Acts 1:11). First, He will descend from heaven to meet every true believer. They “shall be caught up together … in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). Secondly, Christ will return to the earth itself—in power, judgment, and glory—accompanied by the hosts of heaven. “Behold, He cometh with clouds … and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him” (Revelation 1:7).

What Happens Then?

If you are not a believer in Jesus Christ, you will be left behind to face the terrible judgments of God upon this Christ-rejecting world. The effect will be terrible, as the Bible foretells that people from every walk of life will cry out “to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from … the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:16-17).
The great and small, rich and poor, weak and powerful—all who have not bowed their knees to Jesus the Savior now—will bow them to Jesus the Judge at the final Great White Throne judgment. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15).

Will You Be Ready?

Dear reader, are you ready for the coming of Jesus Christ? Have you turned to God in repentance, and are you washed from your sins through faith in Jesus Christ? Or are you still rejecting Him and sealing your doom?
Now is the time to recognize your need of Him and put your trust in the sinless Son of God who died for your sins and rose again to be your Savior. Bow the knee to Jesus today. Tomorrow may be too late.
“Flee from the wrath to come” (Matthew 3:7) and enjoy the presence of God for all eternity. Your opportunity is now. “Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).

Somebody Loves You

Full text of gospel tract:

The creator of all things loves YOU so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die for you on the cross. He wants to forgive your sins and make you clean so that you can be with Him for all eternity. Isn’t it amazing to know that you are loved by God?

His love for you is…

Unending—God’s love is eternal. He loved you yesterday, loves you today and will love you forever!
“I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
Unselfish—God didn’t wait for us to love Him first. His love was freely given.
“We love Him, because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
Undeserved—God is holy, righteous, and just. As sinners, we have done nothing to deserve God’s love. But He loves us anyway.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Unimaginable—God’s love led Him to send His son Jesus to bear the punishment for our sins on the cross. Can you imagine watching someone you love being punished to the point of death for something they didn’t do?
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
Undying—God didn’t only send Jesus to die for our sins. He then raised Him from the dead so we can have eternal life. What a wonderful gift He offers us!
“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.” (1 John 4:9)
Unmerited—God offers you the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Because it is a gift, you cannot earn it. Instead, you must see your need of salvation and accept it by trusting Jesus as your Savior.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
How can you receive God’s gift of salvation? The Bible says:
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
It’s that easy! Will you choose to accept God’s love? Then you too can experience God’s unfathomable love for all eternity!
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

The Ten Commandments

#TMT230

What is the value of the Ten Commandments? This tract reveals that rather than being rules for life, they are pronouncements of our guilt before God, which help us to understand our need of Christ.

Full text of tract:
Many people speak reverently of the Ten Commandments. They display them, memorize them, and try to live by them. But if we think of the Ten Commandments as only “a pattern for life” or “the moral foundation of society,” we are missing the point entirely.

What is their purpose?

The Ten Commandments are part of what the Bible calls “the law,” and their true purpose is revealed in Romans 3:19-20: “That every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified [declared righteous] in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
The Ten Commandments prove to us that we fall short of God’s holy standard. In short: they teach us that we are sinners.

Have you kept them?

Can you honestly say that you have not violated even one of the Ten Commandments? Sure, some of them are easier to keep than others, but do you set aside one day a week—every week—to honor God? Have you ever dishonored your parents? Do you steal time from an employer by checking your phone? Have you downloaded things you didn’t pay for? Have you ever used God’s name in a cursing or careless way? When was the last time you saw something and wished you had it? Each of these breaks one of the Ten Commandments.

Guilty of One, Guilty of All

James 2:10 tells us that in God’s eyes, “Whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” This means that if you have ever broken just one of the commandments, you are as guilty of being a sinner as one who has broken all ten of them.
We try to justify ourselves with thoughts of “I do this” and “I’ve never done that,” but the truth is that we are all sinners. “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). I fear for anyone who thinks they can stand before God some day and convince Him that they deserve Heaven because of their righteousness. If you think you are “good enough,” then you’ve never honestly examined yourself against God’s Word!

The End of The Law

The good news is that “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth” (Romans 10:4). All of the efforts of sinners like you and me could never take away a single sin. But Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, “put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself” (Hebrews 9:26).
Through His death on Calvary’s cross and glorious resurrection, Jesus has opened the way to Heaven. When we turn to God and put our trust in Jesus Christ, a wonderful transaction takes place—our sin is washed away and His righteousness is applied on our account (2 Corinthians 5:21).
So many people are “ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness” (Romans 10:3). What about you? Have you seen the hopelessness of trying to live up to God’s standard? Have you cast yourself upon His mercy and asked Him to save you?
Call out to God and put your trust in Jesus today!
“Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

Sound of Trumpets by Faith Cook

Peer pressure is very hard to resist. So many are affected by the views and values of their social circle and largely conform to what others think, say and do, as well as to what they eat and wear. But this is not new. While the Bible does not speak of peer groups and the pressure they exert, it does point to the course of this world and warns Christian believers not to be conformed to its thought patterns or to the ignorance of God which they betray. But the Scriptures do more. They give us examples of those who have, by the grace of God, lived and died in faith, saying to us, "Whose faith follow."
