My ABC by Susan Hunt

Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee. —Psalm 119:11

Knowing the Bible can help you know God better. Here is a colorful, story-filled way for even the youngest child to take God's Word to heart—and learn the alphabet too!

Presented in an easy-to-use story format that applies individual Bible verses to real-life situations, this illustrated book for 3- to 7-year-olds is perfect for reading to your children or grandchildren, and great for use in churches, Christian schools, Bible clubs, or home schools. It can also be easily adapted for family devotions with young children.

Genovieva by Samuel Grandjean

Summary: This is the true story of Genovieva, as she grew up in Romania and was exiled to America. Each gripping chapter was written in French by Swiss author Grandjean as a serial story in a Christian magazine for children.

Read the true and powerful story of Genovieva growing up in Romania. It was illegal to be a Christian. Her family was persecuted and Genovieva was treated badly in school even though she was the best student in the class. When Genovieva grew up she attended the University, but was later released when they found out she was a Christian.

She could not find a full time job and ended up getting a job cleaning her church. Every night when she walked home the secret police tried to arrest her. To avoid arrest she began to sleep in the church every night. She couldn't keep any blankets there because the police would discover them in a raid. She slept on the cold church bench each night for many years.

After a time she began a children's choir at the church. The choir became so popular that it toured all over Romania and performed at churches. But this had risks. Again and again the secret police tried to capture and arrest Genovieva, but each time the Lord protected Genovieva. Eventually though, the government tired of her Christian activity and issued her a passport and a plane ticket out of Romania.
