Mission to the Headhunters by Frank and Marie Drown

Setting: Ecuador, 1940s to 1990s

Summary: Newly-married American couple, Frank and Marie Drown, went to Ecuador as missionairies. Their desire was to reach the Shuar and Atshuar peoples for Christ. These people were enslaved to demonic forces and stuck in a cycle of revenge killings that was decimating their tribes. This couple worked in Ecuador for 37 years seeing huge changes as they reached out to the Indians. Frank was the leader of the party who searched for missing five male missionairies speared to death by the Auca (Waorani) Indians in 1955. Finding their martyred bodies, urged Frank on towards reaching more and more Indians with the Gospel. Read of the challenges faced by the missionairies and how the knowledge of God's forgiveness of sins changed lives.
