The Lamb - Just the Story

How do we explain the gospel to children in a way that they can understand? How do we explain their need for a Saviour without watering down the details? How can we hold their attention long enough to explain what the Bible is all about? How can we be accurate yet sensitive to the fact that they need simpler explanations?
“The Lamb” is a DVD for children aged 5 to 10 (although older children may benefit too) which takes children on a journey through the heart of the Bible’s message. Starting with the creation of the universe, it explains key biblical concepts: Who is God? What is God like? What is sin? Where did evil come from? Why do we need a Saviour? The DVD concludes with a clear explanation of the identity of Jesus and his amazing provision as our Saviour.
The book makes a clear link between Jesus and the Old Testament sacrificial lamb. Issues like death are dealt with in an honest, straightforward manner. The graphic details surrounding the story of salvation are handled sensitively but not watered down.  At the end, children will have an explanation of who God is and what He did for mankind on the cross. It is a message of hope that every child should hear.

Show this DVD to your kids and help them develop a solid knowledge and understanding of the gospel!

Features:
  • Assumes no prior knowledge of the Bible.
  • Chronological: Begins with the creation of the universe, and then progressing sequentially through key Old Testament stories, it moves into the New Testament to reveal the meaning of the cross and the tomb. The main story of the Bible is tied together into one universal, all-encompassing drama.
  • Lays a foundation: The creation-to-the-cross approach helps put the entire Bible in context. Helps children understand the overall message of the Bible without confusion.
  • Accurate presentation of the gospel: Complex issues such as death, sin, evil, and God’s provision are sensitively presented in way that children can understand.
  • Priced for bulk distribution.
Includes a few pictures of Jesus (sensitively drawn).

Open House by Dorothy Harris

Dorothy Harris writes from 40 years as a wife, mother of five children, and a missionary in Mexico. But this book is not about missionary work, it's about the home-the centre of what went on in those years.
"This is basically a story about our home," says the author, "but it is impossible to separate it form the story of the Lord's work in this part of Mexico. So come to our home through the pages of this book. The welcome mat is always out for you."
In Open House, you feel the author's heart throb as she details her move to Mexico as a young bride. You share her experience learning the language and adjusting to a new culture. "But is doesn't stop there" says Daniel H. Smith, President of Emmaus Bible College. "Dorothy relays all the joys and trials of raising five children in the midst of a busy missionary schedule. You'll find wonderful insights on balancing God's work and family responsibilities."
You'll be challenged to make your family a priority. She addressed questions on education, social contacts, careers, dating and marriage. "I thank the Lord for many hours of conversation around our table, with our children and our guests, she says. "The Lord was there enjoying the happy moments with us."
The Harris house, truly an "open house", is always available for group meetings, Bible studies, and visitors of all kinds. This look at a family "given to hospitality" challenges and teaches all of us to reach to our community a little more. Dorothy not only opens her home to us, but also her heart.

The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan

Often rated second in importance to the Bible as a Christian document, this famous story of man's progress through life in search of salvation remains one of the most entertaining allegories of faith ever written. Set against realistic backdrops of town and country, the powerful drama of the pilgrim's trials and temptations follows him in his harrowing journey to the Celestial City.
Along a road filled with monsters and spiritual terrors, Christian confronts such emblematic characters as Worldly Wiseman, Giant Despair, Talkative, Ignorance, and the demons of the Valley of the Shadow of Death. But he is also joined by Hopeful and Faithful. An enormously influential seventeenth-century classic, universally known for its simplicity, vigor, and beauty of language, The Pilgrim's Progress remains one of the most widely read books in the English language.

Frontline Missions International

From the start of the modern missions movement 200 years ago, China has been to missionaries what Everest is to mountain climbers. China’s size and distance was magnetic—at least for men and women with a big enough view of the Gospel to go. No Regrets, No Retreat begins in England to capture the missionary spirit of those early Gospel risk-takers—and then goes on to China to show how Christ continues to build His Church in stunning ways in our day. Despite the legacy of suffering and persecution, the number of Chinese Christians may now be approaching 100 million, and a truly Chinese church movement is underway, reaching the teeming coastal cities and pushing westward to the walls of the Himalayas and beyond. Dispatches from the Front crosses the globe to showcase this Gospel Everest, magnifying Jesus’ saving power and His ever-expanding Kingdom!
