Sarah and Paul Go on Holiday Again by Derek Prime

Setting: Contemporary England

Summary: Sarah and Paul are twins (perhaps 6 to 9 years old) who live with their Christian parents. They love to ask questions. They are just like normal children. They have fun, squabble and get into trouble. When the family goes on holidays the children are so excited. Dad plans to make a presentation on "how to become a Christian" for church and while on holidays he asks the twins to help him to prepare it.

Some of the things the twins learn about in this book:
~ Some wrong ideas people have about becoming a Christian (eg by going to church, baptised, etc)
~ the broad and narrow roads
~ good fruit and bad friut
~ sin
~ Christ took the punishment meant for us
~ repentance
~ confession of our faith
~ counting the cost
~ assurance of salvation
~ growth as a Christian

Other: Questions and activities follow each chapter. This book is probably the best book for children from non-Christian families who are asking questions about becoming a Christian. It is a realistic book presented in a way children can understand but yet shows much reverence for the Lord Jesus Christ. Black & white illustrations on most pages.
Book #2 in the Sarah & Paul Series.
