This Thing is From Me
Full text of poem:
Fellow-Christian, are you burdened,
Wishing for your cares to flee?
Listen to the Saviour saying,—
"This thing is from Me."
Oh, you say, but I've been injured,
And the wound you'll bleeding see.
Hear His voice, oh so gently,—
"This thing is from Me."
Maybe sickness is prevailing,
And from pain you're never free;
Still in loving tones He whispers,—
"This thing is from Me."
Look beyond the care or burden
To the Hand that touches thee;
Then you'll understand His message,—
"This thing is from Me."
Then you'll know He wants submission,
And the Spirit's fruit to see;
So He sends the trial and tells thee,—
"This thing is from Me."
