Sarah and Paul Go Back to School by Derek Prime

Click to look inside the book
Setting: Contemporary England

Summary: Sarah and Paul are twins (perhaps 6 to 9 years old) who live with their Christian parents. They love to ask questions. They are just like normal children. They squabble, have fun, spend time with their parents, go on outings and go to church and start a new school year. One of the boys in their class likes to laugh at the twins' Christian beliefs and ask them difficult questions but this helps the twins learn more about God and the Bible.

Some of the questions the twins ask and learn about in this book:
~ Are idols real gods?
~ Is there only one way to heaven?
~ Can people of other religions go to heaven?
~ Why is the Bible the most important book in the world?
~ Is it out of date?
~ Is it true? How can we know that?
~ How does it change people's lives?
~ Does the Bible answer every question?
~ How can God be three persons?
~ What is God like?
~ Is there only one God?
~ How does on know it's true that God created the world?

Other: Questions and activities follow each chapter. This book is probably the best book for children from non-Christian families who are asking questions about God and the Bible. It is a realistic book presented in a way children can understand. Black & white illustrations on most pages.
