God loves us and wants us to experience life with Him
The Bible says, “We have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love.” 1 John 4:16
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
But our sin separates us from God
“Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” “The wages of sin is death.” Romans 3:23; 6:23
Jesus died for us and rose again, paying the penalty for our sin
Nothing we can do (good deeds, religion, prayers) will
remove our sin and bridge the gap. The only way back to God is through
Jesus Christ.
“Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh,
but quickened by the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18
“God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should
boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:6
Will you turn to God and place your trust in Jesus Christ?
Knowing what Jesus did for you is important, but that knowledge will do you no good unless you repent (turn from your way to God’s way) and put your faith (total trust) in Jesus Christ as Savior.
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
