Excuses

Full text:

Dear Reader:
Someday you will stand before God. It could be today. Are you ready?
If God says to you at that final judgment: “I do not know you,” what will you say in your defense?
You may say: “But all religions are the same, it doesn’t matter what we believe.” The Bible says salvation is found in no one but Jesus. (Acts 4:10-12)
You may say: “But I am not a sinner.” The Bible says that all have sinned and are unable to stand in the presence of God. (Romans 3:23)
You may say: “But I figured there was plenty of time. I always believed I would live to see old age.” The Bible says that NOW is the time of salvation and we must seek the Lord urgently. (2 Corinthians 6:2; Isaiah 55:6)
You may say: “But the church is full of hypocrites and I was offended by their behavior.” The Bible says someday every one of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12)
You may say: “God, how can you condemn me? You created me!” The Bible says that God is not willing that any should perish. He sent his only son, Jesus, that all who believe in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Jesus, the Son of God who gave his life for you, has good news for you. You don’t need an excuse. You need a Savior and he is Jesus.
Jesus says: “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2)
Jesus says: “Come to me and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
Jesus says: “Him that cometh to me I will never cast out.” (John 6:37)
Jesus says: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
Jesus says: “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)
Jesus says: “... Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world...” (Matthew 25:34)
My friend, whatever you do today, do not neglect this offer of eternal salvation.
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation...” (Hebrews 2:3)
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved . . . .” (Acts 16:31)
If you want Jesus to save you, tell him!
“Jesus, I repent of my life without you. Forgive me, come into my life and have your way with me.”
