Jesus Christ's Resurrection

Full Text of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection:
Thousands of capable people have worked hard for centuries, providing many solid historical and logical proofs for the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. They’ve set this tremendous historical fact apart from the many ancient myths by pointing out that …
1. Jesus was seen by over five hundred witnesses at one moment, not just by one or two credulous followers. Most of these witnesses were still living to provide eye-witness testimony to a living Christ when Paul wrote about them in 1 Corinthians 15:6.
2. A resurrected Jesus appeared on many occasions to many different people. These weren’t emotional reactions to fantastic shapes baked into the day’s loaf of bread, but physical appearances where He could be touched, as in John 20:27.
3. Many haters of Christ, such as the Apostle Paul, had their entire lives changed by a personal encounter with Him (Philippians 3:4‑10). How could a demonstrably dead person delude someone into following Him and announcing that He wasn’t dead but living?
4. The manuscripts presenting the evidence above are far more abundant and accurate than any of their contemporary documents. We can’t dismiss the Bible without dismissing all other ancient writings. For many other proofs presented in greater depth, please see: www.TheResurrectionOfJesusChrist.org
How much proof do we need?
When my wife and I recently bought a new car, we invited a mechanic friend along to test drive it. He looked under the hood, slammed on the brakes, swerved the car and gave it a thorough exam. But when we decided to buy, we still didn’t really know if the engine would work consistently (it has) or if the battery was good (it wasn’t). Our decision was supported by the best evidence we could collect but was ultimately a decision of the heart.
My philosophy teaching assistant in college made a heart decision too. A student asked her several questions about what evidence she would accept to prove there was a God. Not finding any she would receive, he fumbled for an irrefutable proof: “What if the clouds were to line up to form the precise words, ‘I’m God and I want to speak to you.’ ” Her answer was, “I’d prefer to find any other explanation before invoking God.” Her problem wasn’t evidence but a heart that had no room for God.
Is there room in your heart for the God of resurrection?
“God also hath highly exalted Him … that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow … and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:9‑11). Do you recognize Him for who He is, a living person in heaven at this moment? Yes, he was born in a manger, and “when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly” (Romans 5:6). But He isn’t dead on a cross today; He’s alive and waiting to hear our hearts cry out, “What must I do to be saved [from our sinful disobedience to Him]?” His answer: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:30‑31).
