Setting: Contemporary North America, perhaps in a semi-rural area
Summary: While playing in an old barn with her siblings, 14 year old Becky, is seriously injured. While their two younger brothers go for help, 12 year old Amy is left with Becky. As she waits for the paramedics, Amy’s mind goes back to the many things she and her siblings had learnt in the past year. A crazy aunt, neighbourhood bullies, arrogant cousins, humiliating accidents, as well as vivid imaginations ensure an exciting and eventful life. Through thick and thin Amy has learnt that the awful experiences of life are fresh opportunities to rely on the Lord for courage, wisdom and help.
Message: The way of salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is clearly explained throughout the book. Also the need for reliance upon the Lord for help and strength.

Other: Although the children in the story are homeschooled it is only a small part of the book. Fiction.
