Follow-Up Guide for New Christians by OJ Gibson

Follow-up means helping someone who has made a profession of faith in Christ to get started. It is very important in firmly establishing a new believer in the faith.

Good follow-up conserves the fruit of an evangelistic contact by helpful assistance to the newly regenerated person. It may also reveal a premature or false profession which needs to be converted into a true relationship with Christ.

The responsible follow-up helper needs to be a friend and encourager, not just someone who checks up on answers. The lessons are merely tools to use. Quality work by the helper is the most important factor.

The outcome of the follow-up will depend more on the convert’s desire toward God than on yours. Keep this responsibility where it belongs. Do your best but do not assume the burden of their success or failure.

Aussie Million Dollar Bill

Always wanted to give away free money? This is a clever Gospel tract that at first glance looks just like an Aussie $100 - but on closer examination contains a powerful Gospel message! Very effective tool for sharing the Gospel...

Features Aussie Solider on the front - and images of the Sydney Opera House & Uluru (Ayers Rock) on the back, along with the following text:

Here's the MILLION DOLLAR question: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Jesus said to get to Heaven "we must be perfect", however, no one is perfect, in fact we all choose to sin against God. We deliberately do that which is wrong, we lie, steal, lust, hate, disrespect God, get drunk etc. How many times have you sinned against the one true God? You, like the rest of us, are a slave to sin. God's word tells us that all sinners (liars, blasphemers  the sexually immoral, thieves, etc) deserve eternity in Hell. The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" and "For the wage of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." All have sinned against God, and so we all deserve God's judgement.

But, God loves His people so much, He sent Jesus to suffer and die on the cross in the place of sinners. Then He rose from the grave, defeating death! You can't earn God's forgiveness, it is God's free gift. To be forgiven, you must repent (turn from and forsake your sins) and trust that it is by Jesus dying and rising again that you are saved. If you do this, the Bible says your sins will be forgiven and will live eternally with God. I plead with you, turn to Christ today and live.

Dr David Livingstone: Missionary Explorer to Africa

In the early part of the nineteenth century, Africa was called the dark continent. One man’s passion for Christ would change that view.

Dr. David Livingstone took the Gospel to Africa in word and deed. As a medical doctor he treated the sick, earning him the necessary trust and respect to teach the love of Christ which many Africans freely embraced. Then Livingstone turned his attention to exploration, seeing this work as much a spiritual calling as traditional missionary work. Facing danger and sickness he forged routes deep into the African interior, sparking the imagination of many who would follow.

Hailed as one of the greatest European explorers of all time, Livingstone’s commitment and eventual martyrdom helped bring an end to the slave trade and opened a continent to the Gospel.

Discover the story of David Livingstone and see how faith and sacrifice can change the world. .

The Frank Jenner Question

Watch trailer

Meet Frank Jenner, a simple man with a profound question. Frank heard God call him to approach
10 people per day on the streets of Sydney Australia and politely ask one simple question: “If you
died within 24 hours where would your soul be in eternity, Heaven or Hell?”
It was during WWII when this question was put to servicemen and women.
The possibility of imminent death would not have seemed a remote one to the many soldiers and
sailors who passed through Sydney harbour on their way to and from battle assignments and it
was to members of the military that Frank was most drawn. This documentary examines how
Jenner’s straightforward and bold outreach led to the conversion of many and influenced evangelism
methods for decades to come. What emerges is a portrait of a sincere and earnest man with a pure
desire to reach those around him with the message that had changed his life. The lesson of the film is
not necessarily to copy Jenner’s approach but to listen and obey God’s call to proclaim the gospel in
the context in which we live.
